And my authoritarian fear
Lately, I’ve been noticing how much language gives away what’s really running underneath. Fear, prejudice, entitlement — they’re always there if you listen closely enough. When someone says this group is dangerous or you can’t trust yourself, it’s fear talking. When someone insists I know the right way, and you don’t, that’s entitlement in disguise. And prejudice often hides in sweeping generalizations that sound righteous but flatten people into caricatures.
